A DIRECT SPACE FOR 3D IDEAS

Less friction.
More form.

Your next idea doesn’t need another menu.
It needs room to take shape.

Sketch, build, refine and shade.
One workspace. Your way of making.

01 / THE WORKFLOW

Follow the idea.
Not the interface.

Move between free exploration and measured decisions. Keep the process direct—and the result editable.

01

Start with a line.

Draw a profile, import an SVG or begin with a reusable primitive. Start simple. The interesting part comes next.

02

Give it dimension.

Turn a closed profile into a solid. Pull a face, enter a distance or refine a dimension—in millimeters, inches or degrees.

Extrude / Direct editing / Exact dimensions
03

Make it your own.

Explore modifiers, adjust a finish and compose your scene. Save the editable project so the next idea doesn’t mean starting over.

02 / BUILT TO KEEP YOU MAKING

Fluid ideas.
Exact decisions.

Make a buckle. Explore a sculptural object. Refine a part. Choose the tools that suit the work.

01

Precision CAD

Precision, when you need it.

Work with dimensions, constraints and feature history. Exact geometry helps you move beyond a good-looking viewport.

02

Creative modeling

Room to experiment.

Shape creative meshes, apply modifiers and explore material graphs. Undo and Redo keep iteration part of the process.

03

Design generators

A useful head start.

Begin with purpose-built recipes for hardware, rings and linked systems. Adjust the parameters instead of rebuilding every repeated detail.

03 / BEYOND THE SOLID

Think in pieces.
Explore in fabric.

Draft or trace pattern pieces, connect seams and explore how they drape around adjustable or imported bodies.

Open Form, then choose Fabric

Simulate drape and inspect estimated fit on a body.

Simulation and fit estimates are not physically validated sizing or production approval. Test patterns and materials before manufacturing.

APPLE SILICON MAC · PRIVATE BETA

Your computer.
More native capability.

A desktop workspace with compiled geometry, simulation and rendering services, plus local file saving, backups and recovery.

  • Native services for supported operations
  • Desktop file handling and recovery
  • WebView interface with some WebAssembly fallbacks

Public Mac downloads are not available yet. Signing, notarization and release qualification are in progress.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you jump in.

Can I try it now?

Yes. Open the public web beta from any “Try Form” link on this page. A desktop browser with a mouse or trackpad is the best starting point for modeling.

Will my projects stay editable?

Save your work as a Form project to retain supported editable workspace data. Download a copy before refreshing or switching devices. An exported mesh is not the same as the original editable project.

Are web and desktop the same?

They share the core workspace, but not every capability. The Mac edition adds native services and local file handling. Native-only features do not become available simply by opening the website.

Is it ready for production work?

Form Studio is a beta. Keep backups and independently verify important dimensions, exported geometry and specialist results. Garment fit, engineering estimates and other experimental features require their own validation.
